Personally, I like the first one a bit more. It's nice to see the lighting from the environment have an effect on the character. It looks more cohesive. Very cool pixel art!

I know, but the Commissioner wanted a "less red" version so I just desaturated it a lil' and did a transparency mask.

Color theory and such thrown away for the customer's preference but its good that I made two versions. One for him and one for people like you and me who appreciate "Ze Principles."
